Hosting documentary filmmaker Fred Kudjo Kuwornu

The FemSMed project hosted filmmaker Fred Kudjo Kuwornu, winner of the 2025 Dan David Prize for the study of the human past, at Tel Aviv University for a screening of his film, "We Were Here: The Untold History of Black Africans in Renaissance Italy" (unveiled at the 60th Biennale in Venice in 2024). The screening, introduced by Prof. Tamar Herzig, was followed by a discussion with the filmmaker, moderated by Dr. Irit Bak of TAU's Department of Middle Eastern and African Studies.
