The ERC projects FemSMed and MedPlaceboEffect hosted historian Prof. Paola Tartakoff of Rutgers University at TAU. On February 24, 2026, Prof. Tartakoff delivered a public lecture, on“Itinerant Poverty and Alms-Collecting in Late Medieval Europe: Begging Letters’ Revelations" in TAU's Cymbalista Auditorium.
The lecture was followed by a junior researchers' workshop, on February 25, in which Prof. Tartakoff discussed the ongoing research projects of FemSMed members Dr. Joseph Jackson-Eade and Nil Abend.
