Collaboration with ERC projects MedPlaceboEffect and Christosemitism

In May 2025, FemSMed collaborated with the ERC project  MedPlaceboEffect (TAU), led by Prof. Naama Cohen-Hanegbi, and with the ERC project Christosemitism (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), led by Dr. Karma Ben Johanan, in hosting a series of academic events focusing on Catholic history around the visit of Prof. Alberto Melloni, Lowy Distinguished Guest Professor at Tel Aviv University's Institute for Advanced Studies. Prof. Melloni is Professor of the History of Christianity at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He also holds the UNESCO Chair for Religious Pluralism and Peace at Sapienza University in Rome, and directs the Foundation for Religious Studies, based at the University of Bologna. Prof. Melloni is an internationally acclaimed scholar of Religious Studies and one of the leading historians today of Catholic history throughout the ages.
