In September 2025, FemSMed's PI Tamar Herzig was a fellow at the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften at the invitation of Xenia von Tippelskirch, Professor for the History of Religious Dynamics at Goethe University Frankfurt and Director of the Frankfurt Institut franco-allemand de sciences historiques et sociales (IFRA-SHS). On October 11, Prof. Herzig participated at the Religion and (De-)Toxification Workshop at Goethe University and presented an invited lecture, titled “De:Toxifying Religious Enemies: The Monachization of Baptized Former Slaves in Early Modern Italy."
