Book Presentation | Dr. Chizzolini

A book presentation of FemSMed's postdoc Dr. Benedetta Chizzolini's recently published book, "Between Cure and Control: Doctors, Convicts and Slaves in Tuscan and Papal Galleys (16th-18th Centuries)" will be held on January 29, 2026 at the Medici Archive Project, in Palazzo Alberti, Florence, with the participation of Dr. Alessio Assonitis (Director of MAP), Prof. Giulia Bonazza (Alma Mater Studiorum - Bologna), Prof. Maria Conforti (Sapienza Università di Roma), Prof. Giovanni Tarantino (Università di Firenze) and Dr. Chizzolini herself.
